Happy New Year!!
It has been a very interesting and exciting 7 months on the field of Trinidad and Tobago working with Charity Baptist Church. From camps, to contracting Zika, to being spit on by a homeless Rasta while passing out tracts, to the drive-by shooting that took the life of a twenty year old boy just a few houses from us while soul winning, God has protected us and grown us in many areas. It was in the latter part of the month of October that I began to struggle with some doubts and wonder if I was where God wanted me. I haven’t taken a survey, but I think it’s pretty normal. I prayed and con-fessed to the Lord how inept I felt for such a tremendous task and asked Him to direct me.

At the beginning of November the Lord graciously answered my prayer and showed me that my job was to be faithful where He planted me... period. During Saturday visitation, I was priv-ileged to lead two older men to the Lord. One man, Anouk, grew up Hindu; as I began talking to him, the Lord opened the door for me to share the gospel with him for about 30 minutes. His friend, Charma, initially told me that he was a Christian and wanted me to focus on his friend. After answer-ing many of Anouk’s questions, I asked him if he would like to trust Christ as his Saviour and he said yes. He prayed and accepted Christ! When we were finished, Charma said he would like to receive Christ as well! I inquired about his previous claim of salvation and was unable to give him any assurance… he was dead-set on getting saved. Amen!

The following Wednesday, as I was teaching Bible in public school, I felt led to abandon my planned lesson on founda-tional Bible truth and simply focus on the Gospel. Four teen-agers accepted Christ as their Saviour. Praise the Lord! That Friday, I got to preach to about 90 teens during youth night, and five teens accepted Christ that evening. Wow- I was amazed at how God would use such a simple man for so great a cause. I am infinitely humbled by God’s goodness and Him al-lowing me to serve Him here in Trinidad and wherever He de-sires in the future!

Thank you to all our supporting churches, friends and family for your prayers, financial support and love gifts during the holidays. Your generosity has helped us defray some our liv-ing and traveling costs. As you might remember, until we are granted a work permit, we cannot ship our household goods from Oklahoma and are required to leave the country every 90 days.
Because HE is worthy!

For so hath the Lord
commanded us, saying,
